Cumberland Valley School District Youth Boys Lacrosse

Home

Founded in 1997 as the Cumberland Valley Middle School Lacrosse Club, the Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club has expanded over the seasons to include players from both the Elementary and Middle Schools in the Cumberland Valley School District.

We offer competitive programs to boys in 14U, 12U,  and 10U age groups and instructional programs for boys in the 8U age group.  We are a member of the Mid Penn League along with Carlilse, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg Academy, Central Dauphin, Palmyra, Lower Dauphin, State College, Bellefonte, Central Susquehanna, Mifflinburg and Lycoming.

All Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse players must reside within the Cumberland Valley School District or a district that does not have a youth program, attending grades 1-8.   Our league follows the US Lacrosse Age Segmentation Guidelines (i.e. 2017-18 US Lacrosse Player Segments). No players attending high school will be permitted to participate without a waiver, which may be granted due to extenuating circumstances, from our Club Board as well as the Mid Penn League.

We will hold an indoor clinic on Saturdays in February at Twin Ponds to work on skills for those interested and available for the instruction.  Team practices begin in March and games in April, with our season ending on the weekend before the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.  March practices will be both indoor (Twin Ponds) and outdoor (weather permitting) during the week as well as on Saturday afternoons.  We transition to weekday practices during April and May, with games being played on Saturdays.  The volume and duration of practices/games are based on Age Groups.  More detail will be covered at our parent meeting prior to the season starting.
